Volunteers

The PTA is always looking for some additional help. If you can volunteer one hour, one event or on a regular basis, please contact us via e-mail: president@darbypta.com. or to board@darbypta.com. There may even be some work that can be done after-hours at your home.

Any amount of help is greatly appreciated.

General PTA Volunteer Needs

*Someone to wash leftover Lost & Found clothing for Earthquake supplies
(reimbursement for laundromat can be arranged)

*Join the team! Sign-up to chair or be on a committee of a planned activity. See “PTA Board Members” on the website for currently OPEN positions.

Volunteers Needed for These Upcoming Events/Activities

(needs subject to change)

Campus Clean-Up (8/27, 9:00a.m.-11:00a.m.)

*Families, Neighbors & Community members welcome!
- Weeding, planting, watering, trash clean-up, etc.
*Please bring your gardening tools for your use. Trash bags, drinks and snacks will be provided!

New Parent Orientation (9/1, 6:00p.m. in auditorium)
- Greeters
- Help sell Darby T-Shirts
- Set-up refreshments: 5:45p.m.
- Clean-up

Teacher Welcome Back Breakfast (TBD, early September)
- Set-up 7:15a.m.
- Clean-up

Tissue Tea (First Day of School, 9/13, after drop-off)
- Parents to lead new Kindergarten parents from Kindergarten classrooms to the Parent Center for the Tissue Tea
- Set-up refreshments: 7:45a.m.
- Set out balloons and signs
- Greeters
- Help sell Darby Wear
- Help sell Scrip
- Help sell Earthquake Kits
- Clean-up: 9:15ish

Ice Cream Social (9/24, 6:00p.m.-7:30p.m.)

- Serve ice cream
- Monitor ice cream toppings
- Serve drinks
- Parents to man the information tables
- Help sell Darby Wear
- Help sell Scrip
- Help register parents for e-Scrip and Grocery Cards
- Help sell Earthquake Kits
- Helpers to monitor checkpoints around campus
- Set up Recycling station

Help with Pizza Monday Sales (Mondays beginning 9/27, 2:30p.m.-3:15p.m.)
- Help with 1 or more Mondays selling pizza/juice after school

Jog-A-Thon (10/8, during P.E. Hours)
