The Los Angeles Public Libraries have FREE summer reading programs for children ages 12 and under. This year’s theme: “Knight Time Reading Club” Visit your local branch (www.lapl.org) *or create your own reading incentives …30 minutes a day.
Are your children watching a little too more TV than you like? Try “Read Your TV” and use the closed caption option on your TV (see your TV set manual for instructions)
Keep you child up on his/her math facts: www.mathsisfun.com, search “Math Trainer” and you’ll get timed addition, subtraction, multiplication problems and a resource for higher levels of math.
